(FiST) What’s Happening in the Gulf: The First 90 Days

Sponsored by Townsend & Townsend & Crew LLP

Presented by:
Tony Haymet, Director, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego

Program Overview:
The tragedy unfolding in the Gulf of Mexico is first and foremost a human tragedy. It is caused directly by the largest environmental disaster our nation has ever experienced. Scripps Oceanography researchers have been studying the Gulf for many years, and along with their partners around the country have rapidly redeployed people and equipment to assist in the response.

In this lecture, Dr. Haymet will present a summary of both the on-going work and the response so far in the first 90 days.
